Two focal areas and a clear mission: Merseburg University of Applied Sciences conducts research on both a sustainable and a digital future. With these two core topics, the university of applied sciences has established two interdisciplinary research fields that are supported by all the departments of the university. All research projects receive comprehensive support, from application submission to controlling and marketing.
The research focus is aimed at the reorientation of the economy and society. As the transformation can only succeed if it is considered and shaped holistically, we pursue an interdisciplinary approach. Our three departments have the precise expertise required, which is reflected in the three pillars of sustainability - the ecological, social and economic components.
We concentrate our research on digital technologies in interdisciplinary, (supra-)regional initiatives and aiming at the development of the region in everyday life, the economy, and technological advancement.
